 Laura Berghahn, M.D. Dr. Laura Berghahn loves being an obstetrician gynecologist because she enjoys delivering babies, developing relationships with patients over time, and helping women make decisions about their health. It seemed a perfect match for her to join Associated Physicians, where personal care is provided to patients. Dr. Berghahn graduated Salutatorian from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, where she also completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology and served as Chief Resident. After finishing her residency training, Dr. Berghahn joined the faculty at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. For the next eight years she practiced on the east side of Madison while holding an appointment as a Clinical Associate Professor. Dr. Berghahn is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. She is both a diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Berghahn is a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and the National Vulvodynia Association. Her professional interests include all aspects of obstetrics, polycystic ovarian syndrome, vulvodynia, surgical and nonsurgical alternatives to hysterectomy, and hysteroscopic sterilization. Dr. Berghahn and her husband have two children, both of whom were delivered by Dr. Jenny Hackforth-Jones. As a family, they enjoy summer and winter vacations on Lake Superior. She enjoys yoga and running (including sprint triathalons and half marathons), and has an avid interest in opera, serving on the board of the Madison Opera. |
