Erica Walters grew up in Hayward, Wisconsin and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a minor in music in 2013. Her medical degree was earned from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, Wisconsin in 2017.

She then left Wisconsin to move to Cincinnati Children's to complete her pediatric residency. While at Children's she was a resident leader in the Primary Care Pathway which emphasizes the knowledge and skills necessary for success in primary care Pediatrics.

Immediately after completing her residency, she joined ESD Pediatric Group in July of 2020. Dr. Walters has a strong interest in breastfeeding medicine and is IBCLC certified.

Dr. Walters is happy to have returned to her home state and serve the Greater Madison community.  She enjoys spending time with her son, two golden retrievers, family and friends.  Some of her favorite past-times include hiking, cooking, baking and playing fantasy football.  On Sunday afternoons, she can be found cheering on her beloved Green Bay Packers.
