Nicole Ertl, MD
Dedicated to Children's Health
Dr. Ertl is a board-certified specialist in Pediatric Medicine who knew at a young age that she wanted to work with children and families. She credits a childhood doctor for inspiring her interest in children’s health and well-being.
“I had a really great pediatrician when I was growing up,” she says. “He took care of my sisters and me, and he encouraged me through medical school. I always knew I wanted a pediatrics practice where I could help children grow up happy and healthy.”
Quality Care
Dr. Ertl is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She earned her bachelor of science in biology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. She completed her pediatrics residency at Michigan State University and entered private practice with Forest Hills Pediatrics in Michigan before moving to Madison to join Associated Physicians.
“I like the quality of patient care that private practice can deliver,” she says. “It’s a chance to have more contact with patients—to get to know them and grow with their families.
Comprehensive Medicine
Dr. Ertl’s practice serves children from infancy through adolescence. She sees patients for preventive care as well as for primary and acute care. As a result, the healthcare she provides includes well-baby checkups, management of chronic conditions such as asthma, treatment of serious diseases, and more.
“Associated Physicians shares my goal of setting the best standard of care in pediatrics,” she says. “It’s so important to put patient care first and to establish good relationships and rapport with families.”
