Dr. Jonathan Thoma graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, in Albuquerque with a B.S. Major in Biochemistry and a minor in Biology in 2013. He honored in Magna Cum Laude, and Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor Society. He served as Co-Director of the first and now New Mexico's largest health careers networking event; University of New Mexico Health Professions Symposium hosting thousands of students annually. Dr. Thoma was employed by the United States Air Force at the Yokota Air Force Base in Japan from 2022-2024, as an Urgent Care Medical Director. Prior to relocating to Japan, he completed his residency at the Scott Air Force Base in Southwest Illinois from 2018-2021.

 

Dr. Thoma is an innovative and insightful board-certified Family Medicine Physician leaving 6 years of Active-Duty Air Force service after fulfillment of commitment and is in pursuit of Hospice and Palliative care supported by a unique acupuncture skill set. He has 3 small children with his wife, and in their spare time they enjoy baseball, hiking, fishing, and gardening. Dr. Thoma excited to have relocated back to the states and joined the AP team.
