Dr. Schwartz is a licensed physician who specializes in obstetrics and gynecology. She is devoted to enhancing the health of her patients at every stage of their lives.
“I really enjoy working with patients of all ages, she says. “It’s a privilege to follow them from pregnancy through menopause and to help provide them the best in medical and supportive health care.”
Dr. Schwartz graduated summa cum laude with a degree in microbiology from Oregon State University at Corvallis. She earned her Doctorate of Medicine at the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington and moved to Madison in 2013.
A Changing World
Helping patients navigate various systems of accessing their health care is an important aspect of Dr. Schwartz’s practice. In addition, she says, it’s especially important to stay current on all developments in her specialization in order to provide her patients with best-practices medical treatment and health care that’s most appropriate for each patient's individual needs.
Among the most gratifying aspects of her practice include those that take place in a specialized medical setting. “I love being in the hospital for labor and delivery,” Dr. Schwartz says, “and meeting the babies is a special joy.”
The Best Fit
Dr. Schwartz completed her residency at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine, where she quickly developed an affinity for the field of obstetrics and gynecology. “I really enjoyed the program, the people I worked with, the hospital, and Madison,” she says.
As part of that residency, Dr. Schwartz worked at Associated Physicians, which she says became her dream job. “The physicians were terrific mentors, and I could hardly imagine that I would be so lucky as to work with them full-time,” she says.
Now that she’s here, Dr. Schwartz says the team approach of Associated Physicians supports her practice of engaging in all aspects of her patients’ care, while simultaneously enabling her to spend as much one-on-one time as needed with each patient.
